We live in the grip of technological inevitability. Everything that is new seems to be immediately adopted, built out, and talked about as if it were the inevitable next step on some mystical technological pyramid where at some point we will reach the apex. But what if we thought about technology differently? In this talk, we will critically engage with modern technology using the ideas of Ursula K. LeGuin as a jumping off point to think about our every day technological lives.
