for queers and allies: we look at the queer subject in the digital realm together, exploring queer glitches and brainstorming alternative queer-friendly systems.
code and algorithms are not neutral. we look at who digital systems are built for and who falls through the cracks, how queer failing can push boundaries, and why queer illegibility can be a source of freedom.
for the bulk of the meetup, we either create;write;design zines;manifestos about glitching through existing systems, or we ponder models of a system that has queerness built into it, asking: what can't a system model? how can we make queerness more visible?
the meetup is meant for people of all levels of queer theory and tech-savviness. it's meant to be a space of mutual exchange and sharing of knowledge and ideas. our main goal is not education but exchange among people with similar interests and different knowledges.
